The singer is facing a domestic violence rap after allegedly assaulting a woman he was with during NBA All-Star Weekend last month. He checked into police custody at 6 a.m. and bonded out on $50,000 two hours later.
He maintains his innocence against allegations that he beat Andrea Buera at a Hollywood Hills party. Despite his legal team's advice, he took to Twitter to write, “For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain."
Buera says Trey beat her up for talking to another man and the attack was so brutal that she was forced to go to the hospital to treat a concussion. Other partygoers allegedly witnessed the attack, though Songz claims he has witnesses who can back up his side, as well. (TMZ)
