Snoop Dogg has responded after his cousin, Daz Dillinger, accused the rapper of attempting to copyright music from his catalog without his approval.
The family feud came to head during the holiday weekend when Dillinger claimed he got booted from Death Row Records. He followed up with another video on Monday, December 1, in which he claimed Snoop tried to trademark his work behind his back. Tha Dogg Pound rapper alleged his cousin did it so that he could sell Death Row's catalog for a billion dollars. Soon after the video dropped, Snoop took to social media and threatened to mess up his cousin "business-wise."
“I see you ain't got s**t to do but hate on me, huh?" Snoop began. "In a minute, I’m gonna to f**k you up, cuz, on some real s**t. Not physically but business wise 'cause you broke as a muhf**ka right now so I'm gonna f**k you up in a minute cuz. Leave me the f**k alone."
Daz Dillinger has been vocal about his feud with Snoop over the past few weeks. During a radio interview last month, the seasoned rapper-producer explained that he was kicked off Death Row Records after he refused to sign the publishing rights to his music over to Snoop after his cousin acquired the iconic label in 2022. Dillinger said he realized he and his cousin had an issue after he wasn't invited to a recent performance.
"He's just like, 'You ain't signing your catalog over to me,'" Dillinger said. "And I'm like, 'I'm keeping it. It's worth a lot.'"
