Pooh Shiesty is finally a free man.
According to a report FOX13 in Memphis published on Tuesday, October 7, the "Back In Blood" rapper was released from a prison in Pennsylvania, where he served the remainder of his five-year sentence. His original release date was set for April 2026, but he was freed a lot earlier than expected. In the hours after his release, several videos surfaced online of him enjoying his newfound freedom. In one video, you can see Pooh, born Lontrell D. Williams, flexing a wad of cash while celebrating his release with artists K Carbon and BIG30.
Pooh Shiesty has been behind bars since 2022. His charges stem from two shootings that happened in Miami in October 2020 and June 2021. After he was arrested for the second shooting, the 1017 signee was indicted on federal charges, including conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of violent crime, Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Pooh Shiesty originally faced up to eight years in prison, but he was sentenced to five years and three months back in 2022. He received credit for time served after he pleaded guilty to the firearm conspiracy charge.
During his time behind bars, Pooh Shiesty did well to keep his fans updated on his well-being. He posted a few photos from prison and even called into Million Dollaz Worth of Game last year and spoke about his experiences.
