Busta Rhymes will be the latest rap icon to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On Tuesday, July 29, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the veteran rapper will receive the 2,818th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Busta's ceremony will go down this Friday, August 1, on Hollywood Boulevard in front of East Town. Real 92.3's Big Boy will emcee the event alongside guest speakers Chris Rock, LL COOL J, and Chuck D. Busta Rhymes was previously announced as one of several notable artists who will receive the coveted star this year, including Fantasia, The Isley Brothers, and Depeche Mode.

"The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be adding Busta Rhymes, one of Hip-Hop’s most enduring and electrifying voices, as a new member of Hollywood’s iconic sidewalk,“ Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a statement. ”His talent and influence are undeniable. His star on the Walk of Fame will stand as a testament to his lasting impact on hip-hop music and how important it is to the American culture.”

The honor couldn't come at a better time for Busta Rhymes. Earlier this year, Busta Buss dropped his two Dragon Season EPs (The Awakening and Equinox) with his Dragon Season album on the way. He just released his latest single, "Taking Everything" from the Bad Guys 2 soundtrack, and performed his song "Thank You New York Knicks" at the 2025 ESPY Awards earlier this month. He also stars alongside Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson in The Naked Gun, which debuts this Friday.
