Kodak Black claims his bond with XXXTentacion has not been broken since the 20-year-old rapper's death.

On Friday (September 21), the "Roll In Peace" rapper tweeted "RIP XXX HE TALKS TO ME."  As fans know, the rappers, who were both from South Florida, were close friends.

As previously reported, the X was gunned down outside a motorsports store in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18. Since his death, the "Moonlight" rapper's friends have made sure his legacy lives on. Last month, Lil Pump and Smokepurpp sang along to their late friend's hit "SAD!" at Miami's Lit Up Musical Festival. Pump later posted footage to his Instagram Story of him giving himself a tattoo in honor of X. Lil Xan, Denzel Curry, and Wifisfuneral have also gotten X-inspired tattoos.

Kodak's tweet came days after the release of XXXTentacion's posthumous collaboration with Lil Peep"Falling Down," which was co-written by I Love Makonnen, dropped on Wednesday (September 19), ten months after Peep's fatal overdose and three months after X's tragic murder.

While fans were initially skeptical of the track's authenticity — many wondered how coincidental it was that two now-deceased rappers made a song together before their deaths — Makonnen set the record straight about the song's organic creation on Wednesday.

"It came together from me and Lil Peep's session in London when we were working on our album there," Makonnen explained to XXL. "I guess like a month or so later he was playing it online, on Instagram Live or something. Then some fans had stripped a snippet and uploaded it to YouTube," he added. "And then X had heard the snippet on YouTube and he wanted to be a part of it and he recorded some parts to it. [X] ended up passing away, and his mom and his family were reaching out to Peep's management and everybody saying the song was something that [X] was very passionate about before he passed and he would really like to be a part of this and [asked] if we could make this happen."
